Dr. Bryan Samuels

Director of Multicultural Affairs and Affirmative Action Programs

at Western Connecticut State University

Dr. Samuels has most recently held the positions of Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Coordinator of the Multicultural Recruitment Office for the Office of Admissions, Director of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Nebraska and presently serves as the Director of Multicultural Affairs and Affirmative Action Programs at Western Connecticut State University.

Dr. Samuels’ list of accomplishments include the planning, coordination and implementation of several important initiatives that have become fixtures at the University of Nebraska, Miami University, and West Virginia State University’s multicultural landscape including: Counselor/Coordinator for Student Support Services and Upward Bound. He continues to Chair the Diversity Plan Committee, serves on the Danbury Public Schools Multicultural Advisory Council, and participates on the Danbury Children First Multicultural Day Planning Committee in collaboration with Western Connecticut State University.
