Greetings CAEOP members, friends, and partners!
A warm welcome to you all! Thirty-one years ago, a group of passionate individuals came together with the goal of forming a state coalition dedicated to advancing college access and educational opportunities for Connecticut’s underserved populations. Eager to unite to share best practices for student success and to strengthen legislative advocacy efforts, they created CAEOP. Today, the organization is still going strong.
For the past three years, I have been fortunate to serve CAEOP in a variety of capacities, as President-elect, State Liaison, and Chair of the Governmental Relations subcommittee. Together with a group of dedicated members and partners, CAEOP has been working toward a shared vision of increased membership participation, legislative advocacy, and community engagement for our programs and the students they serve. My goal as president is to build on this momentum, and to continue to explore innovative ways for CAEOP to be a valuable resource for the TRIO/EOP community.
I am excited and honored to serve as CAEOP president for the 2017-2018 year, and I look forward to working with you on behalf of our amazing students.
Kim Gorman, CAEOP President
